Biography: Ellen J. Mullins, a graduate of the University of Alabama, entered the practice of law in Louisiana in 1984 as an attorney for Delta Title Corporation and Paul Morphy, a Law Corporation, where over a seven year period, she examined real estate titles, handled curative matters and closed sales for major lenders in the Greater New Orleans area. During that time Ms. Mullins served as an integral part in the management of the title company.
Ellen became an associate of the firm DeMartini, LeBlanc, D’Aquila & Volk, a Professional Law Corporation, in October of 1991. At the same time, she became Executive Vice President of Republic Land Title Corporation, a subsidiary of the firm. Ellen became a partner of the firm D’Aquila, Volk, Mullins & Contreras and is currently Co-managing Partner of the firm D’Aquila, Mullins & Contreras, a Professional Law Corporation. Ms. Mullins also serves as President of Republic Land Title Corporation. Ellen has been an active real estate and title attorney for nearly 30 years and is well respected by her colleagues. She has extensive experience in closing residential and commercial transactions, as well as real estate owned and relocation properties. She also practices extensively in the areas of successions and estate planning.
She was admitted as a member of the Alabama State Bar Association in 1983 and the Louisiana State Bar Association in 1984. She is a member of New Orleans Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), and is a past member of its Board of Directors. She is also a member of The New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Title Attorneys.Ellen has served as Adjunct Professor in the University College of Tulane University and as a Certified Instructor for the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.
